There was weaving:
Dee's woven and embellished vest
Dianna's shawl
A collaborative handspun tweed fabric from Beryl, Igor and Sue
There was knitting:
Sue's vest
Dee's felted bag
Lisa's hat
A collaborative handspun, indigo dyed, cotton knitted face cloth from Sue and Beryl (yikes)
And there was demonstrating:
oops. Maybe there was chatting and waving of hands.
I borrowed these photos from our guild site, there are many more photos here. The Fair goes on, for three more days. Come out if you can!
Wonderful! I can't wait for our county fair next week.
ReplyDeleteSorry I missed you at the fair! It is a great show of work, many guild members, and the best fun was watching young children learn a bit of spinning or weaving.
ReplyDeleteThanks for helping with judging, set up and demonstrations and for putting our fiber work in the public's eye. I think (pretty much) that a good time was had by all!
ReplyDelete*Of course* there is waving of the hands. There can be no talking without hands.
ReplyDeleteI really wish that I could come to the fair.
Beautiful things! Is there a commercial pattern for the facecloth? I've never seen one that pretty before.
