The warps were run. I use a paddle, shown here. This is 520 ends of 5/2 cotton:
and sleying begins:
Each warp chain gets threaded, colors overlap where there is a transition from one bout to the next.
At the end of the day:
ready to thread the heddles!

Beautiful warp! Tell about the bobbin between the lease sticks and the holding knots in the bouts. Is that just to make the knots easier to remove?
The bobbins are just there to secure the warp while I sley and thread. Some people choke tie, some people tie the warp bouts to the breast beam, some people just tie a knot...
I prefer this, it's simple and quick, and the threads have no chance to slip until I pull out the bobbin/knot.
Lovely! Another question, what is that lovely tool called that is holding the lease sticks? I've not seen it before, and it looks so useful. :)
