Too Young to Protest
When babies are too young to protest, you can dress them anyway you like:
Ella is turning one. This hat came from this book, and it's only good for one wearing (maybe two, if Ella ever has a sister)!
But cute? Who could pass this up?
If I get a photo of Ella modeling, I will post it. If the baby's parents are just too mortified to take a photo? Well, it was fun making it :).

bottle scrubber? and I agree with your first statement. :D
COMPLETELY adorable!
You are too cruel....
That's quite the confection! Thank god my grandmother never saw something like that when I was a baby. Now, I doubt I could lift my head there would be so many candles and they would have to be real little to all fit. I do hope we get to see a picture of Ella modeling it.
I LOVE it!! Maybe the candle could be looped and tied in a knot after the b'day for more wearings.
So cute! I like Judy's idea about looping the candle after the celebration too.
I love that hat! If the baby doesn't want to wear it, send it to me, I would wear it! It looks like it was fun to knit.
I ascribe my taste for skulls and black to being made to wear things like that as a child. Beware! you might warp her for li... wait, I mean, instill character.
